🖤 Raising Boys, Running a Business, and Still Believing in Love

They say you can’t pour from an empty cup but as a single mother (still engaged+co-parenting), business owner, and wedding officiant, I’ve learned to pour from a place deeper than exhaustion: purpose.
I’m raising boys in a world that doesn’t always teach them how to love. I’m teaching them that strength isn’t about silence—it’s about showing up, even with a full heart and tired hands. Every morning starts with their needs, and every evening ends with prayers that they grow into kind, responsible men who know how to protect, provide, and feel.
Some days, I go from wiping tears (theirs or mine) to standing in front of two people vowing forever. I often ask myself, How do I keep believing in love when I’ve seen it fall apart? The answer is simple because I’ve also seen it hold people together. I’ve witnessed strangers become soulmates. I’ve seen quiet smiles carry decades of devotion.
Running my business, Pure Timeless Unions, isn’t just about weddings. It’s about creating safe, sacred spaces for love to be celebrated in its truest form of raw, honest, and imperfect. Just like mine.
Being a wedding officiant has taught me that love doesn’t look the same for everyone, but it feels the same. It’s the squeeze of a hand during vows. It’s the tears in a father’s eyes. It’s the whisper of finally between two people who waited a lifetime to be seen.
And as I build this life for my children, I hold on to that truth: Love is real. Even when it’s hard. Even when it doesn’t last. Even when you’re healing from it.
So yes, I’m raising boys. I’m running a business. And despite the hurt, the hustle, and the heartbreak, I still believe in love.
Because I see it every day.
