This is the year to start planning your elopement/wedding.
To elope or not to elope that is the question. It is subjective. Most people grew up dreaming of having a big traditional wedding may say that having a wedding is better to have, other couples may also say having a daring elopement is better. At the end of the day, you should do what is in the best interest for yourself and family.
At Pure Timeless Unions we like the idea of small wedding, big reception, bigger honeymoon and later purchase of your dream home. Eloping has many benefits such as less money, less drama, and less planning. Small intimate party allows one to look around at the important faces of who is going to be essential to you having a healthy support system for your new union. We are not saying don't celebrate your most prestige moment of your life. We are actually saying the opposite. live love laugh and spent your money on a stronger foundation. ie the bigger home. Eloping saves money. The average wedding in 2024 cost about $60,000, whereas an average elopement can cost less than $5,000.
Many people feel eloping is selfish. Eloping isn't selfish. This is your big day, so you do have the right to do it how you want, and with who you want. Eloping is also romantic. What is more romantic than showing your love for your partner, in front of your most important people, being your true authentic self not caring what anyone has to say in that moment. There are a lot of negative connotations surrounding elopements, however that's only because everyone isn't invited to the ceremony. Sometimes, everyone can't be there for every special moment. Some people also feel entitled to be at every function. but this is about YOU!
The greatest thing about eloping is that you can elope anywhere you want. Let's say you and your partner met on the intersection of Morris Ave and 163rd Street, you are more than welcomed to have a ceremony right in the same place you met. You can also elope during a weekend in the Blue Mountains while camping. As long as you have two witnesses you can elope wherever and whenever.
